Rhino

The Rhino is raw muscle power. There are two different rhinos in Africa, the white and the black. The one specie is no darker than the other.

The rhinos where named like that by an error in translation. The locales in South Africa called the white rhino for “Wijde”, which in English almost sounds like “White”, but it actually means “Wide”. This is because the white rhino has a wider mouth. The English translated the word to “White”, and that is how the white rhino got its name, and the counterpart was named black.

The white rhino has adapted to a grass eater, where the black rhino to a leaf eater. The white rhino females live in large groups with its calves.

The white rhino where almost extinct, a large preservation contribution has resulted in, that we today have approximately 8.500 of the white rhinos left. The black rhino on the other hand has a population of only 2.500.
