Buffalo

The buffalo is usually underestimated, and it is properly the most powerful wildlife in Africa. With its 750 kg and its large horns the buffalo represents true strength and power.

If a buffalo gets injured, the buffalo is recognized to be the most dangerous amongst the wildlife, which is the reason for why the buffalo is part of the big five. The lion is the buffalo’s biggest enemy, even when the lions hunt in packs they buffalo can be a tough one to bring down.

Buffalos are pack animals and when a member is in trouble, the pack comes straight to its rescue. The buffalo eats grass and is the savanna’s most seen wildlife. Where there are rivers, lakes and grass savanna, there is buffalo’s usually in packs of hundreds.
